Continuous Improvement Manager
National UK Role
UK (Office) Location flexible
£65K – £80k + Car + Bonus
Dynamic business with multiple business streams across numerous B2B functions and services is embarking on a Continuous Improvement / Lean business strategy and is looking for a CI specialist to lead their newly formed Group function.
Strong financial and Board level support for this appointment will ensure that the Continuous Improvement function will have high visibility to ensure success and enable Lean and Continuous Improvement to become a pillar of the business.
The initial focus of the role will be in winning hearts and minds of the 200+ management team across the UK who will have varying levels of experience of what Lean initiatives look like and how they can positively impact their individual objectives while still conforming to the wider business strategy.
As such – your communication style and experience of taking management teams and their direct reports on a Continuous Improvement journey – will be paramount to the success of this function and will lend itself more to those not lost in jargon but can make the most complicated process accessible to all.
This can not be a mandated ideology but one that all decision makers ultimately buy into and will therefore need the ability to coach and empower Managers to achieve sustained process improvement
Initially managing a small team you will embed and drive the CI strategy through lean / continuous improvement tools and techniques – delivering small, incremental opportunities to demonstrate success in addition to wider projects that may cover multiple business streams regions.
Ideally you will have experience applying process and business improvement initiatives across multiple functional areas and within multiple industry sectors: call centre, route optimisation, credit management processes, distribution network realignment, system and process simplification
Effectively greenfield: Board level support: malleable £700 million revenue business: commercial leadership team looking for CI to deliver commercial outcomes and a vision for process improvement to become a business pillar.
