Interim Finance Manager – Utilities and Construction

Client
A UK based residential and commercial construction company and property developer. The business was project driven with multiple high value projects at various stages of development at any given time.

Objective
To find a Finance Manager who could manage and commercially develop the opportunities around an innovative utilities project being trialed on a major development. Significant cost was committed to the project and it’s success would determine the viability of similar developments in the future.

Method
The project was likely to last for 6 months in duration so it was clear that the person would need to be immediately available. We used our network of known candidates combined with targeted internet advertising.

Result
Within three days a shortlist of three candidates was submitted for interview. From the interviews one was appointed for the role while another candidate was subsequently offered another project that was due to start two months later.
