Client
A market leading subsidiary of a UK Listed Financial Services company operating in a highly competitive environment. The company had many individual business units and was continually looking for new ways to generate new revenue streams.
Objective
A new business unit had been set up from scratch to take advantage of a new opportunity in the market. The Head of Finance of this new unit was looking to appoint a project accountant to set up an effective management reporting system and work closely with non-financial managers to ensure the information was acted on and understood. It was felt that the right type of candidate for the role would be a qualified accountant with 2-3 years of post qualified experience.
Method
A mixture of headhunting and direct marking to candidates who lived within a 30 mile radius of the client.
Result
A shorlist of three candidates was presented that all met the brief exactly. The role was offered and accepted within four weeks of taking the original specification from the client.
