A FTSE listed company with strongly branded UK business and growing overseas operations.
Objective
Following an internal restructure the Group Financial Director wanted to restructure finance to reduce central costs and improve the delivery of timely management information across the business. To achieve this the role of Group Financial Controller was created to manage and lead the internal reorganization and deliver the associated benefits. Because this was a new role, and at a senior level, it was essential that the person had the experience and gravitas to quickly establish themselves credibility over the depertment they would manage.
Method
Whilst previous experience of a Listed environment was not essential we combined direct headunting from other FTSE listed and AIM Listed businesses with a search of our network to produce the shortlist.
Result
A mix of candidates was presented, some with listed experience and others without. After a rigorous interview process the client selected a candidate who was sourced from our known network and a successful appointment was made.
