The client was a leading global provider of telecoms services undergoing a significant expansion within the EMEA marketplace.
The objective was to find a Purchasing & Logistics Director to develop the International supply chain infratructure. The candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of the sector and will focus on product procurement alongside development of International logistics arrangements to minimise the risk associated with high value products.
The method we employed was to carry out a multi-channel recruitment strategy combining Advertising & Selection alongside some targeted sector Search. The Advertising provided a national presence and highlighted a strong growing brand, running across The Telegraph and The Times (& their Sunday editions), whilst being supported across the major Internet job boards and the newspapers online sites. The Search work was timed to identify specific targets within the industry who were spoken to prior to the advertising running and told to specifically look out for it.
The results of the Search identified some of the leading figures in the industry who were met and interviewed. When the national Advertising ran this highlighted to them the strength of the brand and increased their interest in the role and the brand. A shortlist of two stood out who were interviewed and assessed by the client, the role was offered and the successful applicant was appointed.
