Client
One of the UK’s largest financial services companies with number of well known brands.

Objective
Reporting directly into the Audit Committee and Chief Executive the role encompassed leading the internal audit function, assisting with risk management and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. Whilst no previous experience of financial services was required the ability to operate at Executive Level and have previously held a senior role either in the profession or in another large internal audit department was essential.

Method
The client had already tried unsuccessfully to fill the role using another recruitment company. We were invited to meet them and talk through our approach. It was quickly established that we knew two candidates who were a good fit for the role and we arranged for the client to meet them.

Result
The client felt both candidates were a good fit and after two more interviews the role was offered to one of the candidates.
