Large household name UK retailer with stores throughout the UK.

Objective
Following the departure of a senior manager, the company had restructed the finance department and created an opportunity for a high calibre Number Two to the Financial Director. The successful person needed to have a high intellect and a combination of  excellent interpersonal and technical accounting skills.

Method
Because a snior manager was leaving, the client wanted an extremely quick recruitment proces. We were briefed on the role and asked to submit no more than three candidates from our existing network of known candidates. We re-interviewed a small shortlist of candidates from our network who matched the profile before submitting two for the role.

Result
One of the two candidates submitted was successful in getting the role. They had a stong academic background and had trained with a Big 4 Accountancy Firm before moving into a large corporate environment where they had successfully progressed their career.
