Objective
The current sales team were underperforming and the Managing Director wanted to recruit a high-calibre Sales Manager/Director to work with the board to improve market penetration. The brief was to recruit an individual with a strong track record of selling into blue chip retailers or consumer goods companies. The Directors felt that Sales had been a relatively weak area for the business for some time so it so it was essential we found an individual who could both deliver in the short term and be a long term fit for the company.

Method
Using a variety of methods, including targeted headhunting, social media and our existing network we approached potential candidates to assess their experience and aspirations.

Result
After a period of intensive shortlisting the client interviewed three candidates, who were then short-listed down to one ‘stand out’ individual. A though interview process followed that enabled both parties to get to know each other after which an offer was made and accepted.
