Objective
The current Managing Director was aiming to retire within 2-3 years and wanted to recruit a Financial Director who could step up into the Managing Director role when this occurred. The business operated in a highly competitive market and the successful candidate needed to have some previous experience of working within the sector.

Method
Headhunting Financial Directors and Controllers from direct competitors in the company’s specific sector.

Result
We were quickly able to identify a candidate from a direct competitor who was a good match. Only two candidates were put forward during the process, one of whom was subsequently appointed.
